OMG!!! This movie ROCKS!! Action packed from beginning to end! And these robots really get you involved. Plus besides being totally HOTTT- Shia Labeouf remains the funny go to guy you just can't wait to find yourself caught in an action scene with!

Well for some reason I loved it...but I was always a fan of the cartoon series so that might have something to do with it.
It was amazingly well done i think. and shia labeuf is a really good actor... -

The story in this movie is terrible, but everything else about it is great. It lives up to the summer spectacular it was supposed to be.

Wow...visually stunning. I was very impressed. Definitely one of the best movies i have seen in a long time. The dialog between the Transformers is kind of cheesy but overall the film is pretty great. If you have not yet seen this movie then hurry your ass up before it is out of theaters!!!

My best movie so far. I definetly loved this action adventure flick. It was filled with intense scifi action through out the movie. It had great actors in it. They all played great, especially shia LaBeouf. He was the best actor in it. He really took the movie seriously. Josh Duhamel played a great soldier. It had the best special effects that i have ever seen in a movie. Im definetly get'n the movie Oct 16 on dvd. There's no way im go'n to pass this great action flick up.

MCT:August 23, 2008I can go on and on about how much I do hate 'Transformers'. I know that it was big for little 10 year olds, but the movie just wasn't any good, it was loud and annoying and it's so difficult to hear any of the dialogue. I just can't stand Michael Bay films, it's not him, but he's just no good at movie making.
There was absolutely nothing good about it, and Shia LaBeouf's lousy performance didn't help any, and the thing is, I used to be a pretty big Shia LaBeouf fan back in his 'Even Stevens' days, so it was difficult for me to watch him in this sad excuse for a movie.
So, my warning to everyone is that this is painful to watch, and I tip my cap to you if you can actually sit through the entire thing. -

It's a lot different from the animatied series from the 80's...plus, there were 2 animated movies of the "Tranformers" during the 80's but this one was pretty ok...

Is this what summer action films have come to? The Video-game as cinema? Hyper-stylized and testosterone fueled advertisements? Seriously, how do you fuck up such a fun and silly concept like Transformers or Ninja Turtles? I'll tell you how - 1) You write a screenplay that abandons whimsical playfulness for a movie that under the surface takes itself as serious as "Black Hawk Down"-- 2) You write lame T.V. quality characters and focus on them rather than the cartoonish and amusing mech-warriors -- 3) You take all of your action & visual-cues from the last great action pictures of the past 8 years (The Matrix and Spider-Man) and try to disguise it as something breathtakingly new and exciting by adding a trademark sepia-hue.....From all the hype I was expecting to be genuinely entertained by this, regardless of my convictions against Hollywood stuffed-shirts like Michael Bay, but I ended up being mostly bored and annoyed....Occasionally I would laugh at the always funny Anthony Anderson, but even he can't save an FX stuffed car commercial and uninspired writing. As always with Michael Bay, his films production values are top of the line and grade A - but that's to be expected when you have all the financial backing in the world....Even giant clashing metallic warriors and glossy Spielbergian production values cannot hide the fact that this is a morally hollow movie. It is nothing more than a desperatly corny gung-ho military advertisement...There is a heavy-handed abuse of boring post-Matrix slow-mo on full display in all these action-sequences. This film, like everything in Michael Bay's filmography, is a high water mark of style over substance. In a nutshell - "Transformers" is mental masturbation..

To be honest, I think Michael Bay was a good choice for directing this movie. Wait, maybe George lucas, or Peter Jackson could've done this better. I'm not sure.But overall this is the only movie I like from Michael Bay.
