The best Hulk movie so far. Looking forward tho the second part with Norton and Tyler. Let's see what happens with Downey Jr. involved in all of this.

Good movie! Good story. Good actors. My only problem with this story is the ability of 'Betty' to influence The Hulk. Ok. Ok. The power of love clearly! I mean I won't hold hard and fast to my disapproval of her influence on him when he's supposed to be out of control.. but...(exhale) c'mon... I mean... i guess there has to be at least one person who can 'get through to him' but isn't that a contradiction.. he's supposed to be uncontrollable when he's the Hulk... but there was probably always that human, logical element in him.. because he only unleashed his anger in his own defense right? Right! so there would be no reason to hurt Betty or ignore her commands to 'STOP!"
So as I said.. good movie! (i talked myself.. and you... through my process of reasoning) Yeah; my emotions and thoughts were stimulated as I watched :)

Much better than the last Hulk movie. Heavy on the action, light on story. But then, thats the Hulk.

An upgrade from Ang Lee's "Hulk." Edward Norton is great as Bruce Banner. The CGI Hulk could still use some improvement, but the action sequences were fun. I loved the nods to the TV series and other comic book storylines.

Better than the previous try, but still not outstanding. It's just hard to believe that this is real (in a comic book sense). When I watch Iron Man or The Dark Knight, it feels real. The way they handle the opening of this movie is incredible. The movie has some good chase scenes in it, but they are loosely held together. I found myself getting tired of them after a while. The last battle sequence is awy to CG looking.

Yeah i'm probably being a bit more generous than usual by giving this 4 satrs but it was the first film i have seen in ages. Since i moved to Japan i havn't seen any films apart from my dvd's i took. So this was refreshing to see. I like the chaos and destruction but some bits were a bit cheesy but thats ok it is based on a comic so we should expect some cheese. This is much much much better than the piece of crap they made the first time round. Not a fan of Liv mind you but Edward Norton and Tim Roth are there to save the day! I like how there are 2 Hulks goin head to head! haha!! its awrite i think worth watching.

Wasnt overjoyed with the 1st one what makes them think making another one is going to be better? Choppy scenes, bad acting and not much humour. This version is set more to the t.v. series but I wasnt impressed, the cameo appearances from Stan Lee and Lou Ferigno were the only impressive parts out of the whole movie. Wasted money, time and a major HUGE, whopping, raspberry thumbs down!!!

i liked it!!! ed norton is an awesome actor and he plays a psycho to perfection. I thought tim roth was an awesome villian, short, but awesome. i liked how the hulk looked this time too. The green was more natural and his face looked more realistic. Awesome effects and i generally enjoyed it.

A pretty cool movie that shows Bruce Banner trying to cope with the inner monster inside him, with a strong likeness to the classic tv show, with alot of great action fighting sequences featuring the Hulk that builds up to a huge battle that destroys half the city. And Robert Downy Jr. appears as Tony Stark at the end.

I've never seen the Hulk movies before.
This movie plot is good and the actor and actress are great. Also the animation is also fantastic.
    About actor,
Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, he is very good acting. I've watched some of his movies . All are good and realistic.
    About actress,
Liv Tyler as Betty Rose, her face is really lively. How she loves Bruce eventhough he changed into Hulk.So passionate!!!
    For overall,
It's kind of good superhero movie.

Following Iron Man's success, Marvel Studio's second feature seems less clever and fresh, but as a longtime Hulk fan, I found it equally entertaining. Its dark overtones and far more kinetic action scenes set it apart from Iron Man, though both share a great cast, cool cross-references and a sense of fun that make them so entertaining. Despite a few cartoony digital effects and a lack of real depth, the film deserves to be recognized with Iron Man as great summer entertainment.

I went to watch this movie with very low expectations, I mean after the snoozefest that was Ang Lee's Hulk, who could blame me? Well as it turned out, this Hulk movie was very different from its predecessor cos Finally they let the Hulk do what the Hulk does best... Hulk smash!!! And smash he did in amazing CGI. The Hulk in this movie was definitely more detailed than the previous one, and looked awesome going on his Hulk rampages (of which there are many). The main cast did a decent job, Hurt was good as General Ross, Norton was passable as the mean green machine (dude, that guy sure can run), but I was unconvinced by Tyler's Betty Ross (Liv Tyler a Bio-Chemist/Physicist? Riiiight!!). Oh and Abomination was the shit!
The Incredible Hulk is definitely not a masterpiece (I doubt any comic book movie will be after Batman Dark Knight) but it does take the sour taste of Ang Lee's version out of our mouths. Oh and be sure to watch the very end of the movie for the coolest cameo appearance in comic book movie history. A taste of things to come Oh yeah!!

    THE INCREDIBLE HULK (2008)
    directed by Louis Letterier
starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth

After a dissapoiting performance at the box-office - according to the studios - Hulk seemed like a franchise with no future. Most people disliked Ang Lee's version because it was too cerebral and didnt seem to fit the superhero movie patern. Five years later, with a new cast, director and writer, the big green giant is back, and is supposedly more incredible than ever. I prefer Ang Lee's version, cause he wasnt afraid to tackle real themes and develop his character, putting action aside for a few minutes. In The Incredible Hulk we get the minumum character development required, but a lot of action, its almost non-stop and sometimes, even confusing.

Director Louis Letterier has proven before he can do action movies, thats not too hard, ask Michael Bay. His directing skills though are limited and doesnt seem to be able to give his film emotions, even in the few dramatic scenes. The editing is weak at times and things feel too rushed, jumping from one point to another, obviously leaving some material on the cutting floor. Overall, The Incredible Hulk lacks a real vision and feels too generic to me, though Im sure its closer to the comics and even the TV show, making fans happy and obviously raving about this one, proving the studios right when they claim Ang Lee's Hulk was a failure.

Despite all those obvious problems, there is a good cast. Edward Norton - who also stepped in as a writer but couldnt get credited - does a fine job with the material as Bruce «The Hulk» Banner. Liv Tyler steps in in replacement of Jennifer Connelly, she's not as beautiful or talented but she does a good job nonetheless. William Hurt looks more like a caricature of himself, just like Sam Elliot did, in Ang Lee's version, both in the role of General Ross. Tim Roth is the bad guy, overacting but getting a nice paycheck at the end of the day.

In this sequel/re-imagining, Bruce Banner is hiding in Brazil, trying to find ways to control his anger but also a cure to what he has, that turns him into that giant Hulk when his heart starts beating too fast. The military finds him so Banner is on the run again, seeking the help of his former partner - and daughter of the General - Betty Ross. In the meantime, an eager soldier is testing a solution similar to what turned Banner into a monster, slowly turning himself into an Abomination. Banner will have to go against everything he believes and turn himself into the Hulk once more, to save the city from the new monster who's been unleashed.

I didnt have any problems with the CGI in the other film and I still dont here, even though some scenes really look too much like a video game. There are some impressive scenes of Hulk smashing things and freaking out and the final fight is quite entertaining. In the between there are a few unintentional laughs, plus a few intended ones. The Incredible Hulk looks like most recent superhero movies, its no Iron Man or Spider-Man, its not even Hulk, its simply another summer flick which lacks depth, barely hinting something more, but for that, I blame the studios. Fun, nonetheless.

So I never saw the first Hulk movie made; which is odd considering it was done by Ang Lee. Plus I heard it was bad and that didn't help anything! But this functions as both a sequal and a movie all on its own. However, while Edward Norton as always delivers and the sound was very well done, and the visuals were decent, it was far from perfect. At times the story fell flat, and Liv Tyler is just as- she plays the wallflower and the damsel in distress well but as the scientist she dosn't come off well. She can be comitted and loving yes, but much too breathy and blonde to head a department. Not that she needed glasses and an overbite, just brains and a lower voice. When she tries sacastic it comes off as dense. As well sometimes the visual effects took over the story too much and really, the story was what mattered here- it was the glue. The two cameos were great and I can't wait to see what comes from the second one. So while a well done effort, it still needed some more time in the oven!

Better than the Ang Lee mess but still a bit of a disapointment. The Hulk was pretty good as CGI goes and the action scenes were quite thrilling but the story just seemed to limp along. The best bit was the twist in the last minute which looks like it could well spawn an Iron Man and Hulk match up sequal. Now THAT would/should be good!

The adventures of a wondering homeless man and his would be girlfriend, does that sound entertaining to you or just depressing? Well ok what if we add a 10 foot 700 lb angry green gorilla? would that make it any better? why green? green is good right?Money is green. I mean is everybody happy with green?
Its settled then. we'll go with green.

Ummm... Wow, Edward Norton is a great actor and all, but... He doesn't suit the role. His physical appearance is just... how do I explain this?.... Um... not Bruce Banner like. It is a good movie, but he's a little more punnier than I expected Bruce Banner to be.
