All I can say is thank God for my pillow and Paul's hand. I think I might have died if I'd watched this by myself.

Although it is fair hilarious in parts, it's also bare disgusting.

Team building in the mountains in Eastern Europe goes bad, really bad. But first you have the irritating boss, the druggy, the american blond, the regular plain jane who had a big bug on her back, the smart ass employee, the token black guy, and the work place nerd who becomes the safety monitor, and then they have to walk to their cottage or what they thought was their cottage. The gore was okay and there was some funny parts. The ending was kinda lame. But there was a good scene with a bear trap.

Funny, a little predictable, but the end fights were worth it. Danny Dyer was hilarious when he was high, not to mention disorienting from the viewer's point, and the highlight of the film for me.

If you ever seen a movie in which you asked your self: "why are they stupid? why don't they just stay and smack the killer to other life and just run?! why? why? and more why?
well not in this one! in this movie they do everything just right! and you even have a lot of laughs in the process. Great Movie.

omg... this movie rocked my socks. I have never been this scared and laughing so hard within the same movie, and in such succession. THIS MOVIE ROCKS! one of the best horror movies out there, and just goes to show that slasher movies are making a comeback, and not all of them are lame ducks. This movie brings in the style of Halloween with the hilarity of Scary Movie. SOOOOO GOOD!

Horror and comedy rarely mix but it works here. The British accents skew with my movie crapdar too.

I laughed when Andy Nyman found the swimming pool. However I found the movie itself to be un-original and distasteful. If you're going to be a gross horror movie, just be a gross horror movie. Don't try and trick me into laughing at peoples misery.

Brilliant horror comedy with some truly surprising moments. Not only does it provide some genuine scares, but it manages to turn your expectations on its ear throughout thanks to some masterful editing. The black comedy is darkly hilarious and while gory, never has to resort to 'torture porn'. Some great dialogue and two scantily clad Eastern European hookers are the perfect addition to a pretty damned fine concoction of thrills, scares and laughs. Also look out for the best prosthetic (severed) leg you could wish for.

Not bad, but very much stuck in the middle. Some great jokes and an overall comedic mood, its just that the "scary" vide wasn't really there. I guess it was more of a take on the Saw/Hostel type of movies - of which I haven't seen any of them. Maybe if I did I might find it funnier, but probably not scarier.

    A horror/comedy: my favorite genre.
I thought that Laura Harris was wonderful. (I'm glad that she wasn't the helpless woman)
Andy Nyman was also brilliant. He is a remarkable comedian.

danny dyer is on fine form in his one role he plays, that of a cockey geezer, but very funny here, as part of a work trip gone wrong, stranded in the woods while being picked off one by one, no not exactly original, but full of great british comedy, the humour is dark, even nudity, which is always good, and some great gore, and dyer being dyer of course, check him out loosing it on mushrooms, comedy

What a fun movie! It's a dark comedy that could've been a little bit tighter in spots, but overall it was a well made movie. Humor, good acting, well defined characters and good plot make this one a fun time for dark comedy/horror fans.

Relatively humorous in places, obviously intended not to be an entirely serious horror, so some of the strength films gain with the full on horror genre is lost, still good though.

Another great little unexpected gem. Take the folks from The Office (british) and dump them in the woods with a serial killer after them. Don't be caught off guard by the humor though. This is a serious gonads to the wall slasher flick.

I'll admit, the set-up of slaughtering arms company executives on a corporate retreat/team-building exercise, done well in the pitch-black comedy tradition, is an intriguing one. But this movie just wasn't very funny, or not nearly as funny as it should have been, I think. Just more wretched shite masquerading as dark comedy. Pass. I see "Shaun of the Dead" on here as "More Like"...that's an infinitely better movie...go watch that if you haven't seen it.

''You've got about as much chance of getting shit out of a rocking horse!''

    TOO TRUE!

A team-building weekend in the mountains of Eastern Europe goes horribly wrong for the sales division...

    Danny Dyer: Steve

    Claudie Blakley: Jill

Severance is a film which can't make up it's mind if it's a comedy, a horror or a piss take and rip off of so many other movies.

I mean with a plot thats paper thin, it seems to forget certain things completely such as a leg in a fridge and a rocket launcher going wrong, i mean what did the writers do here? Squeeze every idea they had out of their little heads, definitely a sign desperation.

It's like Hostel,Saw thats meant to be like The Office but it's a disgusting joke of a decoy, if thats possible. Myself being English I'm meant to appreciate this dribble. I clearly do not.

It's when you reach the 2nd half and realize that NONE of the jokes are any good and that you've seen this kind of movie a million times before. You begin to look at your watch, wonder in the kitchen for a snack, then you sit back down and realize the nightmare is still on.

This will appeal to football yobs with the intelligence of an ape who are impressed by lameness and crude meandering jokes. Even two blonde's thrown in to goggle at for young male teens on heat who have no time for anything but buying Nuts magazines. This film is a sucker for the male audience.
Danny Dyer trying to act is a blessing to watch too. I mean this man does not i repeat does not seem to change in any movies he's in.

Stick to Hot Fuzz & Shaun of The Dead which are FUNNY!. Severance is a pile of shit that could sink the UK with it's filth.

Plus the ending is so predictably flat. I feel like hiding in a paper bag.

Overrated, like the Black Sheep of NZ, a travesty.

It's pretty funny and the gore is nice. Cast is also great although they killed off my favorite character way too early. If you liked Shaun of the Dead, odds are you'll enjoy this.

It's the office meets Friday the 13th meets Deliverance! I had a lot of fun watching this entertaining film. The right blend of horror and comedy on par with Shaun of the Dead. This will surely become a cult classic!

I had fun watching this movie. A lot of interesting characters. Some parts were satire and other parts as serious as ever. A bit of gore somewhat of a survival movie

Let me start by saying it drags before it gets to the bloody action.I didn't like the story & found this to be a stupid film.It suppose to have black humor but at times it feels like a serious horror film until the silly music takes over & then comes some silly moments that ruins things for me.When it gets intense, the unexpected humor takes over.

As a horror/comedy it didn't work for me.I did enjoy the gory moments.

Could you please tell me what was funny in this movie? Also, would you please tell me what was gory about this movie?! The only gore scenes in the movie are the guy who gets gutted in the beginning and the bear trap. That does not make a gory movie. I think some of you need to see Braindead (Dead Alive).

This is the WORST film i have ever seen! It was gory without a cause, too horrific (and im a person who loves the brain scene in Hannibal!). There was no humour and just a pointless excuse to use gore and in a rubbish way anyway. A totally unbelievable storyline and characters, a waste of my time and money!
