I finally saw this on cable, a good plot with lots of action. A true die
hard movie. Bruce Willis is continuing with his McClane role and his daughter finally accepts his name. -

This is the best die hard yet. Great action sequences and suspense. Bruce willis at his best. Justin long played a great part as an intelligent computer hacker. This is my 3rd best action movie of all-time so far. I have this on blu-ray and it has incredible sound. Who ever dosen't have this on blu-ray get it now. U want regret it. I can guarantee u that it will blow u away. -

Given the fact that the original Die Hard set the bar so high for future action/adventure flicks, earlier sequels weren't quite able to hit the mark. Not so with Live Free or Die Hard... Granted, there are some over the top moments and Timothy Olyphant's, Thomas Gabriel isn't quite the villain you love to hate as was Alan Rickman's, Hans Gruber. Still, there's good chemistry between Bruce Willis and Justin Long, which made their contrasting personality types that much more fun, an enjoyable script with interesting characters and plenty of action. Also, I couldn't help but sympathize with McClane's analog man struggling to function in a digital world.

MCT:August 23, 2008really love this film, it is so good to see a sequel that dosent ruin a brilliant films series. the addition of technology into John McClane's world is very risky, but pulled off perfectly so that it is still the same die hard we love. Justin Long (Matt Farrell) is essential to the film, providing dashes of comedy, as Bruce Willis continues doing what he does best, A most see film !!!!!!

Live Free or Die Hard may be preposterous, but it's an efficient, action-packed summer popcorn flick with thrilling stunts and a commanding performance by Bruce Willis. Fans of the previous Die Hard films will not be disappointed.

I wasnt surprised by much in this one, but the kid was funny and so was the daughter. I love Timothy O (yay! Deadwood).I wanted to see more of him walking and it would have been cool if somebody would have said cocksucker, just once...(can u tell i miss Deadwwod?) Overall, it wasnt a bad movie. I enjoyed it.

I love a good action movie, and you definitely get that with this one. Bruce Willis still has it, as an action hero. I LOVED that Timothy Olyphant was the bad guy in this one. He plays bad very well, and adds a great sex appeal to the role. Justin Long was great as well. The comic brilliance of Kevin Smith was a treat.

good sequel and also much better than Die Hard 3. Now John McClane takes on an Internet-based terrorist organization who is systematically shutting down the United States. in the year 2007 there was a lot of action movies to of come out. Live Free or Die Hard or some call it Die Hard 4.0 was the best i had seen that summer and the best action film i had seen that year and it has to be the best action movie of 2007. worth seeing !!

MCT:August 18, 2008 john mcclane is back & better than ever in this fast paced action packed rollercoaster ride. this is my all time favorite die hard out of the trilogy. it is very entertaining filled with alot of action sequences. they are probably the best i've ever seen out of any movie. my favorite sequence was when john mcclane blew up a hellicopter with a car & he said he was out of bullets. that was the best memorable scene of the movie i think. if anyone hasnt seen this movie, go out & buy it on dvd or blueray. they have an unrated & theactrical version. the unrated one is the best b/c it has alot of scenes that wernt shown in the regular version. trust me this movie is worth buying & adding to your dvd collection. its the best die hard yet.

Bruce Willis returns as the one man counter-terrorist unit, this time taking on an ex-government agent bent on sinking the US infrastructure into chaos while making a few billion on the side. The basis of the plot is the classic "computer geek+laptop=total control over everything/anything in the world" school so favoured by Michael Bay and the like resulting in America's favourite terrorism inspired paranoid fantasy, but having said that, it's no more ridiculous than the Bourne films and delivers the same kind of frenetic stunt-orientated action. Willis proves he can still cut it in the ass kicking stakes at his ripe old age and some of the set pieces are truly spectacular. Justin Long manages to play the wise cracking nerd without grating on the nerves and it cracks along at an electric pace thanks to some taut direction by Len Wiseman. The plot is a little cliched and the ending felt a little anti-climactic after such an unrelenting build up, but I liked it better than both the Bourne sequels and it makes a decent addition to a solid franchise.

NOT BAD!! Bruce Willis pulls this one off with grace & Justin Long was a really good sidekick. They made a pretty good team!! Definitely watchable; even if you're not a Die Hard fan, it was good.

pretty much what i expected, action scenes make up for the awful acting cast and the way they got all the worst bits from die hard 1 and 3 and managed to get them in there

The only thing I didn't like about this is that he just wouldn't die! There's no way anyone could have survived even half the stunts he did.

wow!!this is totally awesome!!!..i Didn't noticed that this is one of the best action movie ever!!bcoz it was played few days after the transformers and few days b4 the harry potter, so i don't have a chance to watch this..but definitely this one of the best action film ever!!spectacular effects and mind blowing action!!its really worth it to watch over and over again!!this is also one of the best movie of bruce willis same with justin long. and this also a possible proof that only just one man and a couple of Hackers can control not only the united states but the whole world..definitely "two thumbs up"

I give this the four star rating because this was my 1st Die Hard film I have seen in the series. If you like tons of action packed scenes than this film is for you. The story was easy to follow and the characters were likable. I could hardly see the vision of Timothy Olyphant as being the villian but he was very good in the movie. Bruce Willis of course was fantastic as this is the role he was born to play. Coming from a stand point as this movie was just made for the action everything that happened to John McClane was way over the top and far fetched... But I loved every minute of it!! If you take for what the film has to offer you won't be disappointed. 4stars
