This a beautiful and inspirational film that is bound to warm your heart. With a stellar performance by Luke Wilson and his supporting cast, this movie is uplifting and unique. A movie that needs to be seen to be believed.

MCT:December 18, 2008How come Luke Wilson doesn't make any good movies anymore? The last good movie he made was Vacancy. All the others haven't been very good or have just plain sucked! What happened to him making great comedies like Old School? He used to make good movies...not aweful movies like this one. This movie was horrible! The main plot of the movie is about a miracle stain on the side of a house. Yes, that's right, you read it correctly. A frickin stain on a wall!!! I really believe Hollywood writers are running out of ideas. How else could you explain someone pitching this idea as a movie and a studio exec saying, "Yeah, that sounds awesome!" I mean, given another movie with these actors and it could have been pretty good because, while it isn't a great cast, it's a good cast. The acting was the upside to this film, but it couldn't save such a horrible plot as this one. In the plot on Flixster it says he leaves a fiancee, a job and his mother...that isn't even in the movie. I mean, maybe...and that's a big maybe but maybe that would have made for a better movie not cutting those scenes out. On here it also says this is a Comedy. This doesn't resemble a Comedy in any way! This is just a horribly boring film and no one should waste their time on it.

MCT:November 26, 2008Henry Poole is an honest attempt to combine a feel good movie for the family with a little bit of message of having "faith". However the problem with the movie is the slow pace and the weak script. Each scene is almost predictable and by the time u reach half-way u've probably guessed how the movie's going to end. A very simple story that has been stretched to a 1.5 hr long movie. Luke Wilson does a good job potraying the emotions of an internally broken-down man.
