Gary Oldman is perfect for Black. Once again they pull the book off, is one of my favourite Harry Potter movies so far.

Third film in the franchise, pushing along through the third year at Hogwarts and sees the additon - and subsequent subtraction - of Professor Lupin, who has a bit of a problem with full moons. Also sees the debut of Michael Gambon as Dumbledore and the incredible Gary Oldman, who plays Sirius Black, a guy who has seemingly gone a little nutty from being locked up too long after being falsely accused of turning on Harry's father. However he knows who really did it and flies away at the end to continue our advnetures into Year Four.

I think this will forever be one of my favorite films....ever.

It hits all the right tones a movie should, and even though it is somewhat altered from the original material, it's still faithful to the books.

This was and still is clearly the turning point of when the Harry Potter movies were no longer exclusively kids movies.....There's so much artistry and creativity behind this film, it laid the framework for what the movies have now become.

While second in comparison to the fifth film, OOTP, in my opinion, this film is still one that everyone should see.

I can't tell you how excited rewatching movies 3-5 is making me excited for the release of Half-Blood Prince this November...

I only wish there wasn't an end to this series, because it'll probably go down as my favorite series of movies and books of all-time.

Cuaron is one of HP's best directors..he had good camera angles and the sensitivity for details/emotion without being melodramatic.
His style is haunting, yet, infused with lightness and comedy.
Harry looks good here, hermione is all girl power and ron is the cool side kick.
